Is it true? That his whole family are inter-family mating?
Because I was reading my Genetics book for school, studying for exams, and it had in it that his whole family was all f***ed up and all they did was just marry their first cousins and everything. I dont know if its all true, even though it says it is. But i thought i am going to research it, or find someone that does know a fair bit about him.

My Mum has found some great finds in car boot sails and autions in the U.K in and around the 1970’s and I wish I could follow in your footsteps and learn how to find gems to tug at my hearstrings. It isn’t the earthly value of the painting but like you say..it has to grab you and bring out somethign that is hidden.

One of the many lost opportunities I had was back in the early 1980’s when the Limited Edition clubs were starting up. I could have purchased lifetime Lautrec posters for a hundred bucks or so. And others too painful to recall.

That’s an amazing find whether legitimate or not. I love the old Lautrec work and it captures the spirit of the time incredible. Great read as well especially given the background of the artist mixed in with the details of the find itself. Very cool stuff.

He really was the most popular artist of his own time, but my reviews are more specific to the work rather than the artist. But later I’ll profile artists and what was happening during their lifetime in later reviews.

To me some of the best finds are at estate or flea market type places. This seems like a great find even if it isn’t what you at first though. Lautrec did not seem to have very much good luck in his life from what you wrote above.
